It has been far too long since I have written. Mostly because I have been so overwhelmed with school. I am a first year graduate student majoring in International Development Economics, hoping to concentrate the modest research I do on the Middle East.
It has been an oh so exhausting semester. I have been taking intensive Economics courses on the graduate level, with little background in math. This has put me at an automatically disadvantage relatively to other students in my classes. But, hard work will hopefully pay off.
I am off to the ever beautiful sun shine state (Florida) in less than two weeks. Who would have thought that I would miss Florida so much?! I have been alone for the past four months, with little family interaction, little sun exposure and almost no good food in sight. I am very ready to go home. Florida is where I grew up, went to college, and spent the majority of my teenage and adult years. I can not wait to go back.
